Always a Great Friend

I sat beside your Mom while working at AIG, and we used to chat over the walls of our cubicles all the time. We'd get to laughing over something silly at least a couple times a day - many times quite loudly! When someone would tease us about always laughing, we'd both always say we were sorry, as we forgot we weren't supposed to be having fun! She had this sense of humor that was just wonderful. We did always have alot of fun together, and I missed your Mom when she moved to Florida. I left AIG to attend school around that same time, and your Mom is my inspiration! I started MSU at the age of 38, and your Mom used to tell me how she went to nursing school around the same age. She used to say, "I had to study twice as hard as those young girls, but I made it!" And the same is true for me, and so I always think of her telling me that. Another thing that always still makes me laugh when I think of Kathy is when we went to lunch together one day. She drove her Lexus and kind of put the pedal to the metal when she took off! I commented about her car really having alot of "get up and go", and I swear she had an absolute gleam in her eye while telling me what a "speedy little thing" it is! I also always loved Kathy's bright and positive outlook on life. She always had a way of looking at things that either made you see the bright side - or made you even more thankful for what you had. And I also loved how her sense of humor could be a little naughty at times and how we could laugh so hard together that we'd have tears rolling down our faces! Her sense of humor even came thru in her emails to me after she moved to Florida. I will really miss Kathy, but she will continue to be my inspiration! And I know she is still with us all in spirit, cheering us on!
